Proposed Senate FDA Legislation Includes Cosmetics Reform

The Senate will introduce draft legislation to reform the US Food and Drug Administration's regulation of cosmetics, lab-based tests and dietary supplements. The move could come as soon as tomorrow. The news was first reported in STAT.  According to sources, the policies will be included in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee’s version of user fee reauthorization legislation. The current funding agreement expires at the end of September....
